What We Do
Boss Pest & Termite Solutions came on the scene, amid much fanfare, in April 2013. Concocted by our “Supreme Leader” Joe, Boss have become the “Go-to guys” in pest & termite services in Brisbane, and are now expanding into the Gold Coast (in certain markets), to meet growing demand. In a nutshell: we are trustworthy, we are reliable, we are good value, and we are the easiest tradies our clients will ever have to deal with. We can do pretty much any aspect of pest control, both commercial and domestic, including general pest control, scheduled servicing, termite inspections and all forms of treatments. Our specialty however lies in Body Corporate work. We are one of the few who actually love this industry.
Body Corporate Specialists.
We are set-up, streamlined, and skilled at strata titled properties. We jump through all the hoops your quality assurance and contractor management systems demand. We give you a super simple cover sheet on our reports so they make sense to you quickly. We duck in now and then to say “thanks for giving us work” (with sugary treats), and to see what’s working, and what’s not. Come Christmas time, our pressies are the ones the whole office fights for. No really: its like seagulls over a chip! We also do prizes and awards to recognise our biggest fans and cheerleaders. Good ones too: eg- Tangalooma Wild Dolphin Resort stays; not just a cheap movie voucher, or feed at the local RSL. We do fact sheets and information sessions, so you know what best practice is. We can get you work in the industry, or get you staff on the other hand if you are a manager or director. We have connections. We know, and can refer, a contractor or professional to do just about anything on or to your buildings, who is also well versed in strata titled properties. Basically; your life will be so much easier with us working for you, as opposed to a large national company, or a local “Billy Bum-Crack” contractor.
Who are we?
Joe Ward
Director
Joe started in the industry in 2009 after growing up in family farming businesses. He loaded up the cattle truck, and moved to the big city lights of Brisbane after being kicked by one too many cows in 2006. After working in the pest control industry for a few years, Joe found a gaping hole in the market for a pest control business with good honest country values. Trustworthy, reliable, genuine, can do anything, and do it without a fuss. Boss was founded on these values.
In his spare time, Joe likes to sit on the couch, and scroll through his phone, or play cowboy games on his playstation. (At least he’s honest, right?) He also likes target shooting, and hunting wild boar with his son Riley. He sometimes enjoys having his nails painted, and make-up applied by his youngest daughter Amelia (Millie) though. Her drawings are always fridge-worthy too. Comparing funny internet pics and memes with his eldest daughter Charlotte is another favorite pastime, along with watching “Treehouse Masters” and “Stranger Things” together.
His passion though is in helping those suffering with mental illness, and those affected by it; mainly addiction, depression, and suicide prevention causes. Boss has a healthy budget to spend each year on these and other causes, and Joe spends several hours every week in advocacy work, and directly helping others. Our staff are trained and accredited in Mental Health First Aid, and are always open to a chat if you need it.
Craig Hugo (Ronald)
Leading Hand
Craig is a handsome young rooster, who joined Boss in early 2017. He has since become a master assassin (of bugs) under the divine tutelage of Boss; and has risen to the dizzying heights of “Leading Hand”. Craig’s specialty is Body Corporate and Commercial properties, as it has formed the bulk of his days’ work since starting with us. What he doesn’t know about unit complexes, isn’t worth knowing.
Craig’s hobbies include muscle cars, blues and rock music, and the Wing Chun brand of Kung Fu. He may look like a cherub, but he is a black belt, so you will be super safe from baddies when Craig is on the scene. He also enjoys kayaking with his family around Ballina and surrounds. Feel free to go past him really fast in your boat if you see him out and about.
